This year, young people across the country have found themselves living through unprecedented times, meaning learning, fun and friendship have become more important than ever before.
Offering classes in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, drama and LAMDA, award-winning theatre school, CK Theatre School, has helped students to continue their valuable and engaging dance and drama classes throughout 2020.
Maintaining some normality for students throughout the first lockdown thanks to virtual classes, CKTS returned to face-to-face classes in Gerrards Cross in September, with full ‘Covid-19 Secure’ measures in place. Moving term times to reflect the second lockdown, face-to-face classes are due to resume again at the start of December.
One of the most trusted theatre schools in Bucks, CKTS offers classes in dance and drama, from infants to seniors, providing a valuable and engaging after school and weekend activity for your child.
Josh and Lucy Sills, Managing Director and Principal at CK Theatre School say: “This year’s been different for us all, continuing classes during the first lockdown ensured we were able to maintain a connection with our students and teachers, enabling them to enjoy the structure, friendship and familiarity that our classes bring. As we returned to face-to-face classes it was wonderful to see children and young people back doing what they love. We changed our term times to reflect the second lockdown, and are aware that most students will be required to self-isolate at some point over the coming months, so are working hard to implement a system that caters to all our students and families”.
CKTS prides itself on offering classes that are both enjoyable and challenging, following the ISTD and LAMDA syllabi to ensure all students are given the chance to learn new skills and gain confidence at the same time.
With small classes, focused on the appropriate level for the students, many students start classes age 3 and leave at age 18. With teachers that are passionate about creating a fun and inclusive environment, which makes everyone feel welcome, CKTS offers young people the chance to participate in graded exams, as well as appear in regular performances at local theatres.
Based in Gerrards Cross and Chorleywood, CK Theatre School’s classes have full ‘Covid-19 Secure’ measures in place. Spaces are available for enrolment and CKTS is also currently offering all enquiring students a free trial class.
