Cricketers Gin is an independent gin company set up by father and daughter founding partners; Rachel and David. The journey began on a relaxed Sunday afternoon, with a refreshing gin and tonic, watching cricket on Pinkneys Green. Surrounded by the stunning countryside, the Cricketers Gin founders decided that this quintessential British game, along with the wild botanicals growing in abundance, deserved a bespoke gin of its very own.
Pinkneys Green is home to three of the local botanicals featuring in Cricketers Gin; wild marjoram, milk thistle and blackberries. These unique flavours harmonise with zesty orange, spicy coriander, and subtle tones of liquorice to deliver an exquisitely smooth juniper-forward gin.
Cricketers, a London Dry Gin, is the highest quality gin produced, as all ingredients must be natural and added before distillation. This is gin in its purest form and is distilled as it would have been hundreds of years ago.
During 2020, despite the economic climate, in response to consumer demand Cricketers Gin launched their Berry Blush Pink Gin; a classic style gin with delicate raspberry tones and a subtle sweetness.
Just five months after launching, Cricketers Gin were recognised as finalists in the global Gin Guide Awards, amongst some well-established gin brands.
Also last year, Cricketers Gin won the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Award, he said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Cricketers Gin every success.”
Only last month, Cricketers Gin were awarded a Silver Medal for their London Dry Gin and a Bronze Medal for their Berry Blush Pink Gin from the International ‘London Spirits Competition’, which recognises spirits from around the World.
