Cross Stream Distillery

Cross Stream Distillery was born out of a love for the drinks industry and a passion to create using traditional methods, with little intervention from technology or big machinery.

We are Charles and Chloe, a husband and wife team distilling handcrafted gin in Marlow. We met many years ago in the hospitality trade and have always had a keen interest in the drinks industry. We decided to start our own distillery as we wanted to combine our love for gin and our desire to create something of our own.

We are completely self-taught distillers and use a traditional 60 litre copper alembic pot still named Jinx, which we heat over flame, to produce our gin. Distilling, bottling, labelling and wax sealing is all done in house by the two of us, it’s a real labour of love and a true testament to our craft.

Our distillery is named after an estate in Surrey, which Charles’ Great Grandfather built from the ground up and we really wanted to pay homage to the hard work that went into it and draw parallels from what we are doing ourselves, by building up our distillery from scratch. As we like to keep things in the family, we had our niece design our labels for us, using our silhouettes to reflect the synergy between us as a husband and wife team.

We launched our London Dry gin in July 2019, bottling in batches of 30 bottles. We use 10 botanicals, including Juniper, Pink Grapefruit, Lemon and Orange peel along with wormwood and Angelica resulting in a smooth, classic London Dry, with a good punch of citrus, strong backbone of juniper and a subtle hint of spice. It has a long finish and makes the perfect Gin and Tonic or Cocktail.

You can try our gin at many local pubs and restaurants in Buckinghamshire such as The Keg in Bourne End, The Coach, The Oarsman, The Rowing Club and The Vanilla Pod in Marlow, Wild Kite in Great Missenden and The Yew Tree in Frieth.

The support that we have received, on our journey so far, has been overwhelming and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved. It’s amazing to see how our dream has become a reality.
