Father Thames, the Daddy of all cheeses

You can’t beat a bit of cheese can you?

It’s such a versatile food, used for starters, mains, desserts and of course that all important cheese board. It’s something we thoroughly love here at hiya bucks.

Father Thames is the new semi-hard blue cheese from local business Marlow Cheese, produced using milk from a close-by Buckinghamshire farm.

Smooth, subtle and very creamy, the aftertaste keeps you wanting more; perfect for all cheese lovers. It doesn’t have that sharp tang that many other blues do, giving just a hint of blue that isn’t overpowering. It’s also moist enough (not crumbly) to spread on your crackers which is a real bonus.

We enjoyed Father Thames both on its own and with some red onion marmalade and gherkins.

It’s definitely a cheese guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
