Places to Visit

National Trust – Chilterns Countryside

Hugh Mothersole

Update on the Coronavirus:

National Trust have taken the decision to close all their car parks, to further attempt to help restrict the spread of coronavirus. They encourage everyone to stay local, observe social distancing and do not travel:

They’ll be doing everything they can to bring nature, beauty and history to your homes in the coming weeks. They’ll ensure the places they care for on behalf of the nation can remain open for business virtually while we’re temporarily closed, through our social media feeds, website, podcasts and video. They appreciate your support and we’ll be staying in touch with our members throughout this difficult time.

Rolling hills, distant views, chalk grassland, and acres of woodland to explore

Situated in the picturesque Chiltern Hills, this group of popular beauty spots offers fabulous walking opportunities. Pleasant day long walks with a pub stop can take you through the intimate landscape of woods, farms and hamlets that make up much of the Chilterns.

From Coombe Hill and Low Scrubs (near Wendover), you can explore our other sites including Aston Wood and Juniper Bank, Bradenham Estate, Hogback Wood, Pulpit Wood and Watlington Hill and Woods.
