If you’re looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat on your lunch break, meet with friends for a catch up over an amazing coffee or even somewhere to cosy up with your laptop and do some work, then Perkys is the place. The newly opened coffee house offers a fantastic selection of readymade sandwiches to take away and a super choice of ‘made to order’ sandwiches to eat in. The freshly made cakes and pastries displayed on the counter look so lovely – deciding which one to have might just take up most of your lunch break! If you’re a coffee lover you won’t be disappointed and, if you’re not a coffee lover, there are plenty of other drinks to choose from, including freshly made smoothies, which are to die for.
Aside from the food and drink, the experience of visiting Perkys was made thoroughly enjoyable by the extremely friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere inside this quirky café. The interior is beautifully designed with an artistic approach, vintage and modern furniture. There is also a comfy seating area outside the front of the café.
We happened to visit Perkys on one of the very hot days we had in the summer, craving cold drinks and a light refreshing lunch – and that’s exactly what we got. The two of us opted for a homemade Strawberry and Banana Smoothie, which definitely quenched our thirst. I chose the chicken and chorizo sandwich and my colleague chose the mozzarella and sundried tomato sandwich and we were given the option of white, brown or ciabatta bread. Due to the heat outside, we made the decision to sit indoors and enjoy our lunch without getting sunburnt. Both sandwiches were delicious and served with a tasty side salad – needless to say, we completely cleared our plates!
On leaving we were offered an iced coffee to take away, which seemed like a good idea and actually was the best idea of the day. I had an iced caramel latte and it was probably the nicest coffee I’ve ever had! I’ll be going back for another one, for sure!
Thank you Perkys and see you again soon!
