Local art studios open for Bucks Art Weeks
Turville Studios is a new collection of six individual units housing seven professional artists working in a variety of media. These new and contemporary studios are situated in the beautiful Chiltern village of Turville, opposite the Bull & Butcher pub garden, handy to stop off for a drink after a walk around the hills and valleys. Turville is home of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang windmill, and the backdrop for Midsomer Murders, Goodnight Mister Tom and the Vicar of Dibley among other fims.
Sophie Fois specialises in both contemporary works and pastel realism of wildlife, equestrian and pet portraiture.
Jenny Zolkwer creates wheel thrown ceramics, alongside Claire Ross-Masson who produces handmade pieces using various firing techniques.
Rachel Wallace is a photographic artist creating compositions of nature and the environment.
Marie Robinson works in oil, producing still life and pieces inspired by the local countryside.
Beverley Mattchette-Downes produces prints and paintings, again being influenced by the wonderful surroundings of the Chilterns.
Suzy Tonkinson works predominantly in acrylic and mixed media in a variety of styles including abstract work.
You are welcome to visit the artists and see them at work, they always have new and original work to see and purchase should you wish. There are also goats and ponies to pet onsite.
