Volunteers needed for hospice care charity shops in Bucks

Rennie Grove Hospice Care is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join the retail teams in our Bucks charity shops.

Rennie Grove is a charity providing care and support for adults and children diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illness and their families living in Bucks and Herts. Every year through our 24/7 Hospice at Home services for adults and children we give thousands of patients the choice to spend their last weeks and months at home, surrounded by their family and friends.

Our services are provided at no cost to patients or families but in order to carry on providing the same high quality services for all who need our care, we rely on support from the local community to raise in excess of £20,000 every day.

Our 14 charity shops across Bucks are the destination of choice for savvy shoppers looking to bag new or high quality pre-loved clothes, shoes, accessories and household items at a fantastic price.

Our shops are located in:

Aylesbury (Bedgrove)
Bourne End
Chalfont St Giles
Chalfont St Peter
Chesham (discount shop – everything £2 and under)
Farnham Common (discount shop – everything £2 and under)
Flackwell Heath
High Wycombe (Downley)
Holmer Green
Little Chalfont
Princes Risborough – traditional shop and bookshop

Deborah Gould from Rennie Grove said, “We are keen to recruit some more volunteers to help in our Buckinghamshire shops. We can offer hours to suit other commitments and you don’t need to have retail experience as full training is provided.”

Shop volunteer Susan said, “I have been volunteering at Rennie Grove for approximately 4 years. Over the years I have made many friends and still love volunteering as much today as when I started.”

Matt, who volunteers in our Bedgrove shop said, “There’s never a dull moment volunteering at a Rennie Grove shop. From interacting with customers, to creating and planning window displays to sorting through donations, you never know what you might find, each bag is different!”

We welcome shop volunteers from age 14 upwards. Why not try before you apply and give a shop a shift? We would be delighted to offer you a morning, afternoon or day at any of our shops in Bucks (or Herts) without obligation so that you can decide whether becoming a shop volunteer is for you.
